STAMFORD, CT — The manager of a Stamford bar was arrested early Sunday morning after it was discovered the bar's liquor permit had been expired since August, according to police. Sgt. Michael Franzetti said an officer was on patrol near West Main Street around 2:15 a.m. and noticed the front gate to Rumba Cafe was down, however there were still customers inside drinking from glass bottles.

The officer then went inside and spoke with the manager, Juan Reyes, 32, of Bronx, N.Y., Franzetti said.

"During the course of the investigation," Franzetti said to Patch, "it was determined that their permit to serve liquor had been expired since August."
