Stamford Downtown To Host Holiday Window Decorating Contest

STAMFORD, CT — In the spirit of the holiday season, Stamford Downtown will once again host a merchant window/facade decorating contest.

"Deck the Downtown" features 18 downtown Stamford businesses participating in this year's event to ensure the downtown looks dazzling for the 2020 holiday season, according to a news release. (To sign up for Stamford breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

Celebrating its 10th year running, the event will ask the public to select the contest's winners this year. Residents are also encouraged to come downtown to enjoy the festive lights and view the creative storefronts.

Residents can vote online by Monday, Dec. 21, at stamford-downtown.com for "Best of Show," with a grand prize of $750 awarded to merchants and $500 for Honorable Mention. Prize money will be dedicated to permanent spring facade improvements at the winning businesses in collaboration with Stamford Downtown.
