Stamford Downtown Looking For Piano Donations

The Stamford Downtown Special Services District is searching for donations of pianos to be used in an art exhibit this summer.

STAMFORD, CT — The Stamford Downtown Special Services District is searching for donations of pianos to be used in an art exhibit in Stamford Downtown for Summer 2021.

Pianos in working condition are needed by February 2021 (or earlier). We can arrange for pick-up and transportation. (To sign up for Stamford breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

Please note pianos must be easily accessible for moving. No more than a few stairs.

Pianos will be decorated by juried artists and will be on display throughout Stamford Downtown during summer 2021 for the Piano Project, Art in Public Places in Stamford Downtown. The pianos will be put in place for anyone to play and the exhibit encourages participation from everyone.

At the conclusion of the exhibit, the pianos will be sold at auction with a portion of the proceeds donated to a charity.
