Stamford Drivers: I-95N Road Work in Darien Closes Left Lane Till 3 PM Tuesday
The Connecticut Department of Transportation announced lane closures on various highways near Stamford -- all work to be done by 3 p.m.

The left lane of Interstate 95, for northbound traffic (toward Norwalk) is closed for unspecified road work until 3 p.m. Tuesday, the Connecticut Department of Transportation just announced.
The lane closure is one of several for nearby stretches of area highways that Stamford drivers may be using early this afternoon.
The left lane on the stretch of highway between Exits 12 and 13 will be closed until 3 p.m., the announcement said. The announcement, however, posted at 12:32 p.m., also said the road work was expected to take two hours or less, so the lane may be open well before 3 p.m.

On that same mile-long stretch of highway, a low point on the roadway near the Darien North rest stop exit had a bit of flooding during Monday’s rain showers (on the southbound-traffic side, too), but the lane closure may have nothing to do with that.
