Stamford Fire Department Experiencing 'High Incident Volume'
The Stamford Fire Department is responding to a high volume of calls of people stranded in their cars on flooded roads.

STAMFORD, CT —The Stamford Fire Department is urging residents to stay home and avoid travel until after Tropical Storm Elsa has moved out of the area.
The SFD tweeted Friday morning that they are experiencing a "very high incident volume" due to people being stranded in their cars on flooded roads.

Fire units are currently operating at numerous incidents involving vehicles w/ occupants stranded in water. Please do not try & drive through areas of standing water. Flash flooding is occurring throughout area. Avoid driving until after the storm passes.
