Stamford Thanksgiving Trash, Recycling Pickup Schedule Released

The city has released the schedule for Thanksgiving week.

STAMFORD, CT — Stamford residents may need to wait an extra day to put their trash cans out after celebrating Thanksgiving.

According to the city recycling and sanitation department's 2020 holiday schedule, household garbage and recycling collection will not take place on Thanksgiving. Pickup for Nov. 26 will be delayed until the following day, according to the schedule.

Additionally, the Transfer Station and Katrina Mygatt Recycling Center are closed Thanksgiving day. (To sign up for Stamford breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

Household garbage and recycling collection for Friday, Nov. 27, will also be delayed until the following day, according to the schedule. The Transfer Station and Katrina Mygatt Recycling Center will be open for regular hours that day.
