Thursday Activities In & Around Stamford

The Shelley Archives presents Legends of Rock Live: Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers - Rare Clips (1970s-1980s) at the Avon Theater Thursday, starting at 7:30 p.m. Check out ticket information right here. 

The New Canaan YMCA and Stamford Hospital jointly present "Breast Health Through the Ages" at the New Canaan Y's 564 South Avenue location Thursday at 1:15 p.m. Dr. Helen Pass and Dr. David Gruen, making the presentation, are Co-Directors of the Women's Breast Center at Stamford Hospital. Check here for availability. 

Also on Thursday, starting at 6 p.m., get down with on some country music and help fight breast cancer at the Seaside Tavern with Stamford's own Jump The Gunn country band. A portion of the night's sales goes to William Raveis Breast Cancer Research Charitable Fund.

There's a lot of fun going on at the Ferguson Library Thursday, including yet another mayoral debate being held starting at 7 p.m. Makerspace and language-practicing class Let's Talk both meet at 6 p.m., with the latter meeting at the Sound End branch, there's a Medicare & Medicaid counseling session scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Weed Memorial & Hollander branch and there's one space left for the Advanced Microsoft Word class at 2 p.m. at the main branch.
