Truck Crash Snarls Traffic On I-95 In Stamford [UPDATED]

The crash caused major traffic problems for nearly three and a half hours Saturday.

STAMFORD, CT — A crash involving multiple vehicles, including a tractor trailer, caused considerable delays on the northbound side of Interstate 95 Saturday morning.

The crash took place around 9:29 a.m. about a half-mile beyond Exit 9, or Seaside Ave. Connecticut Department of Transportation (DOT) officials did not provide an estimate of how long a portion of the highway was expected to be closed.

The image above from a DOT web camera was taken around 11:30 a.m. The DOT reported the scene was clear at 1:04 p.m.
