UBS Puts Stamford Headquarters on the Market
It appears that the global banking institution is poised to pull its operations out of Stamford.

It appears that global banking giant UBS is planning to move its operations out of Stamford.
On Thursday, Cushman & Wakefield confirmed it has been retained to market the 12-acre campus on Washington Boulevard — just days after Gov. Dannel Malloy said it was doubtful UBS would keep its commitment to keep 2,000 jobs in Stamford as part of a $20 million tax incentive plan, according to Hearst Connecticut Media Group.
UBS has been at 677 Washington Blvd. since 1997 and in its hey-day employed more than 4,000. Since the economic meltdown UBS has cut its ranks in half.

UBS would be required to reimburse the state the $20 million forgivable loan and $1.5 million in interest, if it fails to keep at least 2,000 jobs in Stamford through the end of 2016, according to the report. UBS reportedly would not comment on its plans.
The Hearst report can be found here.
