Vehicles parked on emergency snow route streets in the downtown area will be ticketed and towed later this evening, according to police.

STAMFORD, CT — The Stamford Police Department is asking all residents with vehicles parked on the city's emergency snow route streets to move them as the winter's first major storm bares down on the region.
"Vehicles parked on the emergency snow route streets in the Stamford Downtown area will be ticketed and towed later this evening," police said Wednesday on Twitter.
The snow is expected to hit the area Wednesday and continue into Thursday. Further information can be found on the department's Twitter page.
