A Virtual Trilingual Musical Experience By INTEMPO
Presented by the South End Branch of The Ferguson Library
On Saturday, August 1 at 11 a.m., The South End Branch of The Ferguson Library will present a trilingual musical experience to celebrate Imagine Your Story, this year's theme for the Library's summer reading programs. This virtual program is for all ages and will be broadcast on the Library's YouTube channel and on Facebook LIVE.
INTEMPO will curate a fun and interactive virtual program which will include many instruments, including the steel pans from the Caribbean, violins and guitars. The presenters will share their stories in English, Spanish, and Creole. There will be a performance of the Haitian song, "Panama Tombé," and Afro-Cuban poetry. Audience members will be able to interact and imagine, invent, and express their stories during this live broadcast!
This program is generously supported by the Friends of The Ferguson Library, in partnership with INTEMPO and La Voz Hispana de Connecticut newspaper.
