Wednesday Fun Waiting for You In & Around Stamford

Hey Stamford, a showery 55 degrees greets us through the day Wednesday, which gives way to a partly cloudy low of 36 degrees in the evening, according to Weather.com. Tide charts show low tide hitting around 8:46 a.m. and 9:23 p.m. and high tide at around 2:39 a.m. and 2:50 p.m.

At the Ferguson Library's Main Branch on Wednesday, the Simple Steps to Starting a Business group meets at 6 p.m., Step Ahead meets at 11:15 a.m. that morning and Toddler Time meets at 11:15 a.m. also at the Harry Bennett Branch. 

On Wednesday, writer and journalist Jason Stearns comes to UConn-Stamford to speak at the World Affairs Forum beginning at 5:45 p.m. The title of the presentation is "A Crime Without a Culprit? Understanding Mass Atrocities in the Congo." Check here for reservations and ticket prices. 

At the Bartlett Arboretum Wednesday at 7 p.m., learn about the Flora of Nepal and the unique geographical, cultural and historical context of this small yet profoundly diverse but impoverished agricultural nation.
