Westy Self Storage Supports Adopt-A-Dog

Westy Self Storage will attend the upcoming Adopt-A-Dog event, Puttin’ On The Dog Festival of Fun, on Sunday, September 16 at the Roger Sherman Baldwin Park in Greenwich. This “just for fun” dog show will raise funds to support Adopt-A-Dog’s mission to save, socialize and secure loving homes for unwanted or abandoned dogs.

Come join the fun from 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at Adopt-A-Dog’s 31st annual dog and fun festival. The Puttin’ On the Dog (& Cats Too) Festival is an event for all ages! With retail and food vendors, demonstrations, competitions and activities for dogs and pet lovers, there is truly something for everyone. Tickets are $20 for adults (kids under 10 with adults are free) and $10 for seniors. Tickets can be purchased in advance for a discount online at www.adoptadog.org. This annual festival doubles as a fundraiser for Adopt-A-Dog and an adoption event for multiple shelters in the surrounding area.

More than $100,000 was raised to benefit Adopt-A-Dog at last year’s event. Billed as the largest event of its kind between New York and Boston, Puttin’ on The Dog drew more than 5,000 animal lovers and their four-legged friends from throughout the Tri-State area.

Adopt-A-Dog is a non-profit organization founded in Greenwich, CT with their shelter located in Armonk, NY. For over three decades, the group has put adoptable dogs and cats together with responsible people who would like to adopt a new pet. They work in cooperation with shelters, veterinarians and other public and private organizations and individuals from Connecticut, New York and beyond to help animals who would otherwise get lost in the shuffle of daily life.
