Woman's Untimely Death Under Investigation In Stamford: Police

STAMFORD, CT — Stamford police are investigating the untimely death of a 56-year-old woman who was recently found dead in Stamford.

In a statement, Lt. Tom Scanlon said officers found the woman in an apartment on Main Street after gaining entry into the residence during a welfare check Sunday. (To sign up for Stamford breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy and the cause of death is pending, Scanlon said.
