Youth Music And Theatre Summer Classes At Curtain Call
Virtual classes focused on musical theatre offered online this summer.

SUMMER THEATRE CLASSES FOR YOUNG ARTISTS AGE 6 through 16
"Arts education isn't something we add on after we've achieved other priorities, like raising test scores and getting kids into college," said former First Lady, Michelle Obama. "It's actually critical for achieving those priorities in the first place."
Here at Curtain Call, we feel the same way!

For 30 years we have offered year-round educational workshops in the performing arts taught by fabulous teaching artists. Our programs, mostly at The Sterling Farms Theatre Complex in Stamford, have been wildly successful and mostly, sold out. With small class sizes and time for individual attention, parents and students have enjoyed multiple classes at Curtain Call.
“Summer is usually one of the most exciting times of the year here at Curtain Call,” said executive director, Lou Ursone. “That’s because we normally have about 40 young artists participating in our daytime workshops in addition to about 100 more working on our annual Summer Youth Theatre program in the evening.” Ursone noted that seeing all the young performers each summer remind him of his days in youth theatre programs…many years ago.

This summer, due to the health crisis, Curtain Call activities are almost exclusively being run virtually. (There’s a chance that our Summer Youth Theatre will be able to do some performances outdoors – details will be announced later this summer.)
Starting July 6, the second of four online summer performance workshops will begin, focusing on musical theatre. This program is open to students age 11 through 16. Two additional, two-week sessions for those age 6 through 11 will begin July 20.
Each session may be taken independently, but a discount applies when taking more than one. Sibling discounts/scholarships are also available. Contact Brian Bianco, Education Director, at 203-329-8207 or register online at www.curtaincallinc.com.
