Car Strikes Pedestrian in Stonington

Police are seeking witnesses to the accident.

A car hit a pedestrian at approximately 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 17, at the North Water Street and Stonington Road intersection.

According to The Day, the driver stayed at the scene of the accident. Police are seeking witnesses to the accident, in an effort to help clarify why the accident occurred.

The person struck by the car did not have life-threatening injuries, police said.
