CT Black Sea Bass Fishing Quota To Increase: Report
In a visit to Stonington Monday, U.S. Rep Joe Courtney praised allowing the state to claim a larger percentage of the fishing quota.

STONINGTON, CT — New federal commercial harvest quota allocations will allow for more fishing of black sea bass in Connecticut and will take effect in 2022, according to The Westerly Sun. An increase in the population of the fish species in southern New England prompted the change in law.
U.S. Rep. Joe Courtney (D-2) visited the Stonington Town Dock Monday to praise the agreement, which will increase the state's black sea bass quota from 1 to 3.7 % of the total coast-wide quota.
