DPNC to Kids: Come over to Coogan Farm and PLAY!
In the hustle and bustle of today's world, research shows that outdoor free play for our children is more important than ever.
The Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center is bringing recess back - to the farm! In the hustle and bustle of today's world, research shows that outdoor free play for our children is more important than ever.
This new program, called Outdoor Play at Coogan Farm, offers children ages 8 and up a chance to stretch their legs and fill their lungs with fresh air after school at Coogan Farm. We will hike through the forest looking for animal signs, build shelters and campfires, play games, and let the spirit of adventure guide us through this fun program. Join us for an active afternoon in a safe, supportive, natural environment. Ages 8+.
The program meets 3:30-5:30 p.m., Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays, March 21-June 3, 2016. Cost is $19.55/member/day and $23/nonmember/day. The program meets at Coogan Farm, 162 Greenmanville Ave., Mystic, CT. To register, visit www.dpnc.org or call 860-536-1216.
