Drivers: Expect Delays on These Stonington Roads Soon
Stonington Public Works will be milling and paving a few roads around Mystic in the upcoming weeks.

A press release from Stonington Public Works:
The Town is planning on milling and paving a number of roads in the Mystic Area starting the week of October 7-11 (see attached map). Presently, the milling contractor is scheduled for Thursday & Friday October 10th and 11th and Tuesday October 15th.
These dates are always subject to change based on weather and contractor availability but this is the best information that we have at this time.
We are planning on milling Cottrell Street first the morning of Thursday Oct. 10th so that we can try to be out of there by early afternoon. Then we are looking to move to Jackson Street and Willow Street later that day.
We are then planning on milling Holmes Street first thing on Friday October 11th so we can get out of the business areas earlier in the morning. Then we will try to move to Bay St and School Street.
Â
Any work that is not completed by Friday afternoon should be completed by Tuesday October 15th.  To help minimize impacts on Cottrell Street, we are looking to shim the milled area on Friday morning October 11th and are shooting to spend the rest of the day repaving Jackson Street.
The rest of the paving should occur the week of October 21st-25th.
During milling and paving operations, there will be no on street parking on these roads. The contractor’s work hours are typically 7am to 5 pm Monday-Friday. Traffic will be able to get through during milling and paving operations, however drivers should expect some delays.
Please bear in mind, we are sending this letter out to help best communicate our operations with the public, however, our plans may change due to weather and contractor availability and if they do we will try as best as possible to let you know.
