Elves Sneak Into Fire House To Build Santa's Sleigh

Man-sized elves sneaked into the North Stonington fire house and turned it into Santa's workshop, not for toy-building, to build his sleigh.

NORTH STONINGTON, CT — Mighty big for elves.

There's a lot of reasons to love firefighters. Saving lives is at the top of the list. But Santa's helpers? Who knew?

Members of the North Stonington Volunteer Fire Company decided to build a sleigh for Santa this year to make it easier for him to get in and out, Chief Charles Steinhart V told Patch.

If volunteer firefighters working through the night to build Santa's sleigh so that kids of all ages from near and far can cheer doesn't warm your heart, well, you're a Grinch.
