Famous Clydesdales Arrive In Mystic For Parade
The world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales have arrived in Mystic and are now available for viewing.

MYSTIC, CT — The world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales returned to Mystic Thursday, just in time for the parade taking place over the weekend. These majestic animals will be available for the public to view up close before they march in the annual event.
According to the Mystic Seaport Twitter page, the Clydesdales were supposed to be unveiled at a members-only event Wednesday, but it was cancelled due to the storm.
The eight-horse team will be housed in a special stable on the Museum’s Village Green, available for public viewing during regular museum hours, according to the museum website. Children ages 13 and younger will also receive free admission to the museum March 22-25.

On Sunday, March 25, they will also be spotlighted by marching in the annual parade for the entire Southeastern Connecticut community to see.

These horses stand approximately six feet tall and on average and weigh two thousand pounds, according to a release. Chestnut, brown or black in color, the Clydesdales are most known for the long, white hair growing around their ankles called feathering. These gentle giants have docile personalities, making them extremely family friendly.
The annual Mystic Irish Parade will take place Sunday, March 25. Festivities will begin at the Mystic Seaport at 1 p.m. and journey downtown, concluding at the Mystic Arts Center.
