Free photography workshop for kids Sunday at Hempsted Houses
They'll work with photographer Edward Santos to learn how to take great pictures with their phones
Photographer Edward Santos (www.esantosstudios.com/) will lead a workshop from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 23 at the Hempsted Houses.
The program will show kids how to capture innovative photos using different artistic angles, and he will introduce the group to free apps that can enhance their images. Participants will practice taking photos at the Hempsted Houses and other historic New London sites.
The workshop is free and open to the public, but space is limited and reservations are required. Email hempsted@ctlandmarks.org or call 860-443-7949 to reserve a seat. Kids should be 11 or older.
The workshop is hosted by the site’s youth group and sponsored by the Chester Kitchings Family Foundation.
