Officials say there's an "urgent need for additional child care providers for working families affected by the public health crisis."
MYSTIC, CT — Family Resource Centers across the region hope that as the need for child care centers is greater than ever during the pandemic, there's help for those looking to open a family child care business.
The Get Started program, a response to the "urgent need for additional child care providers for working families affected by the current public health crisis," is part of the CTCARES for Workforce Development project from the CT Office of Early Childhood.
The program is for those interested in opening up a family child care business. The program is offering $250 grants to help cover the cost of licensing, a free virtual interactive licensing orientation tool kit session, ongoing support, and access to free resources, supplies and professional development webinars.
