Hotel/Restaurant Plans Approved For Mystic Seaport
A developer's plans to demolish an existing restaurant and replace it with a hotel were narrowly approved by Planning and Zoning.

MYSTIC, CT — The Stonington Planning and Zoning Commission narrowly approved plans to demolish Latitude 41 restaurant and build a three-story boutique hotel and restaurant closer to the Mystic River, The New London Day reported. The 3-2 vote came after a three-hour public hearing in which residents expressed concerns about traffic and the height of the building.
The $12-million project will include a 26-room hotel and a 160-seat restaurant. Plans call for demolition and construction to begin in 2021, according to The Day.
