Kid Calls Cops To Report His Dad Is Driving Drunk
Minutes later, police receive calls about a two-car accident in I-95 in Stonington.

A 10-year-old boy called 911 late Wednesday night to tell police his father was driving drunk, and he was scared and wanted to jump out of the car, WTNH-TV reports.
Minutes after police received that call, there were multiple reports of a two-car crash on Interstate 95 near Exit 91.Â
Police said the father, 49-year-old Owen Gilman of Warwick, RI, was driving a 2007 Mercedes Benz C230 when he rear-ended a Jeep Grand Cherokee, the TV station reports.
According to police, the collision sent the Jeep and single male driver off the right shoulder and down an embankment, where the vehicle then rolled over.
The driver was taken to L&M Hospital for treatment of blunt force trauma and lacerations.

Gilman's children, the 10-year-old boy and 12-year-old girl, were taken to Westerly Hospital where they were evaluated and treated for lacerations.
Police said Gilman was uninjured and arrested after failing field sobriety tests.

Additionally, police said a significant amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia was found in plain view on the floor of the vehicle.
The Day reports that Gilman was charged with reckless driving, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failure to drive at a reasonable distance, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal sale of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, risk of injury to a minor and second-degree assault with a motor vehicle.
