Labor Day 2018: What's Open, Closed In Stonington

Here are the closings to be aware of during the end-of-summer holiday in Stonington.

STONINGTON, CT — Whether you're ready or not, the unofficial end of summer is approaching. The Labor Day holiday weekend might be some consolation for the end of your summer relaxation, but that means some services will be shut down for the long weekend of Sept. 1-3.

Stonington government will observe the following holiday schedule:

  • Town Hall – closed.
  • Libraries – closed.
  • Liquor and Grocery Stores – all stores will be open; check individually for hours.
  • Recreation – The Stonington Community Center will be closed. Thrift store will be open.
  • Refuse/recycling pickup – no collection Monday.
  • Transfer Station – closed.
