Monday: Drop in Read and Play at the Stonington Free Library meets at 10:30 a.m. for babies to 2-years-old and at 11:30 a.m. for ages 3 to 6.
Tuesday: There’s a Health Care Reform Talk in North Stonington today. Randi Oster will discuss the Affordable Health Care Act, insurance, subsidies, Medicare and other topics at 2 p.m. at the Wheeler Library.
Wednesday: Chef-owner of the Red Rooster Tavern and cookbook author Normand Leclair will share preparations for bluefish and summer flounder complete with samples for the audience. It’s free; reserve your seat early by contacting Tracy Kennedy at (401) 874-6805 or e-mail tkennedy@mail.uri.edu.
Thursday: Meet author Karen Zailckas from noon to 1:30 at Bank Square Books today. She’ll be there discussing here latest psychological thriller “Mother, Mother. The event is free.
Friday: The Stonington Free Library is collecting children's Halloween costumes from Sept. 9-Sept. 28. All costumes must be clean, complete, and on a hanger with size marked, with a plastic (grocery store style) bag attached! They will have free shopping from Sept. 30-Oct. 5. Any leftover costumes will be donated. Call the Library at 860-535-0658 with any questions.
