This Mother's Day, Say You Care with an Always Home Card

Honor your mother or another special woman on May 9th and Help us Prevent Family Homelessness.

Mystic, CT (April 7, 2021) – Hope springs eternal. Just three simple words, yet ones that Betty Smith, Always Home’s Executive Director, has reflected on a lot this past year. “We’ve all endured a long journey through this pandemic, but I’ve been buoyed by the support, optimism and courage so many of you have shared. Always Home and the families we serve are better because of you,” she remarked.

Mother’s Day is May 9th. This year Always Home is especially mindful of single mothers who suffered unprecedented hardships because of COVID-19. With no choice but to stay home with their children when schools moved to remote learning, these single moms lost jobs, income and the ability to pay the rent.

This Mother’s Day, you can make a difference that will be meaningful to both Always Home’s client families and someone special in your life. Please consider recognizing your Mom (or another remarkable woman) with a $25 donation to Always Home. Your support will help single mothers and their children avoid impending eviction, shelter or homelessness.

“The economic impacts of the pandemic will be deep and long-lasting for many low-income families,” stated Betty. “Preventing their homelessness will critical in the days ahead. Thank you for safeguarding families’ housing, helping them along their recovery and for giving them hope.”
