Music, Musicals and Meet an Author Tonight
Five things to know on Wednesday, August 7.
- Today will be much like yesterday. The National Weather Service forecast says it’ll be mostly sunny, with a high near 78 although tonight there’s a slight chance of thunderstorms after midnight. If not, you can expect a low of 68.
- The Westerly Town Beach will host Blues on the Beach tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. Christine Ohlman and Rebel Montez are slated for tonight’s show.
- Author and professor Glenn Gordinier will present an illustrated talk on Mystic and the War of 1812 at the Groton Public Library from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight.
- The Cartells are playing tonight at the Steak Loft beginning at 7 p.m.
- If you like musicals, and you like to drive and you like East Haddam, Conn., you should go see Hello Dolly at the Goodspeed Opera House. The show starts at 8 p.m. Be prepared to laugh!
