'Animal Heroes' Announced in honor of #GivingTuesday

MYSTIC, CT (DECEMBER 1, 2020) -- This #GivingTuesday, Mystic Aquarium is excited to announce the upcoming launch of ‘Animal Heroes,’ a one-of-a-kind monthly subscription box that will call on youth to give back to the planet. The Aquarium’s world-class educational programming and ARSOME Technology Group’s powerful immersive technology have joined forces to create a one-of-a-kind Educational Experience. This incredible educational tool offers grade-school students the chance to become heroes for our planet by discovering how they can help preserve wildlife, conserve natural resources, and give back to the earth through interactive games, videos, and unique outdoor activities and challenges.

An Animal Heroes subscription offers children and families an exciting way to stay connected through learning, calls on youth to give back to the planet and supports Mystic Aquarium’s conservation- focused mission.
Powered by Connecticut-based software developers ARSOME Technology Group, the ‘Animal Heroes’ monthly subscription box includes a diverse suite of digital content as well as a variety of hands on activities. Users can customize their own ‘Animal Heroes’ avatar, test their knowledge with fun facts and quizzes, tackle conservation challenges, and interact with the physical world using augmented reality features in the ‘Animal Heroes’ app. Additional outdoor activities help ‘Animal Heroes’ practice conservation in their own backyard.

Each month the box will be themed around a featured animal, including African penguins, beluga whales, sharks and sea turtles. The amazing digital technology is complemented by fun ‘hero gear,’ including stuffed animals, trading cards, adoption certificates, and much more.
The ‘Animal Heroes’ subscription box, a thoughtful, educational, fun and ‘good for the Earth’ gift will be available for purchase in mid-December, just in time for holiday gift giving.
