Mystic Seaport Museum Sets Reopening Date

MYSTIC, CT — Mystic Seaport Museum is scheduled to reopen on Saturday May 23. However, the reopening of museums across the state will look quite different than before the pandemic.

Visitors will be able to access outdoors portion of the grounds as the village buildings and indoor exhibitions will remain closed for the time being. Certain areas will be roped off and there will be no food service.

Capacity will initially be limited as well when the museum reopens.

The expectation is that as the state reduces COVID-19 restrictions, the museum will gradually return to offering a more traditional experience.

Admission for the public will be free May 23-29.

Museum hours will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 23-25 and 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. May 26-29.
