New Melissa Joan Hart Christmas Movie Filming In Mystic
A new Christmas movie starring Melissa Joan Hart is filming in Mystic.

STONINGTON, CT — With the weather finally warming up, it may seem odd that parts of Olde Mistick Village have been decorated for Christmas this week. Rest assured the village is not getting an early jump on holiday decorating; it is actually the set of a new film starring Melissa Joan Hart.
According to the New London Day, "A Very Nutty Christmas" has been filming at the village, the first time the location has been used as a set for a movie. After filming at the village until Thursday or Friday, the crew will also be filming at the Garde Arts Center and at an Old Saybrook home.
Among other village locations, filming has taken place at Lee & Co, Jealous Monk and Fun & Easy Clothing and Accessories, according to the Day.

According to IMDb, "A Very Nutty Christmas" is about a workaholic baker, played by Hart, who has "given up on Christmas" after getting dumped and needing to fill an order of 12,000 cookies before the holiday. Her perspective starts to change however after a magic nutcracker comes to life and starts to teach her the true beauty and magic of Christmas.
The film also stars Ryan Caltagirone and John Mondin, and is written by Juliet Giglio and Keith Giglio.
