Police Seek Man In Purse Theft From N. Stonington Restaurant

Police are looking to identify a man accused of stealing a purse from a North Stonington restaurant.

STONINGTON, CT — State police are attempting to identify a man accused of stealing a woman's purse from a North Stonington restaurant. Troop E in Montville was called at 4:30 p.m. Thursday for a larceny complaint.

Police said a man was caught on surveillance camera stealing a woman's purse and placing it inside his own bag, then leaving the restaurant. The male was seen lingering around the premises prior to stealing the purse.

According to a Facebook post from Buon Appetito Ristorante and Pizzeria, the suspect "took our owner's purse that contains some very important documents in it. We do not care about the money but the other contents of the purse are extremely important."
