Route 1 Accident Claims Life of Stonington Man
A 78-year-old man in a motorized wheelchair succumbed to injuries after he was struck by a car.
A 78-year-old man died Thursday, May 26, after he was struck by a car on Route 1 in Pawcatuck.
According to WTNH, Raymond Lanphere was hit by a car driven by Mary Wise, 67, on South Broad Street, also known as Route 1.
Lanphere was on his motorized wheelchair at the time of the accident, which occurred at approximately 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 25.
Police continue to investigate.
