Salt Marsh Opera To Bring Production To Students This Spring
In its 20th season, Salt Marsh Opera will go on the road with its 'Kids Love Opera!' program, supported in part by Dominion Energy.
STONINGTON, CT — This years marks the 20th season for Salt Marsh Opera.
Preparations are underway for its spring production of La Cenerentola, our Kids Love Opera! program. The opera will be presented to nearly 7,000 elementary and middle school students from across Connecticut including New London, Waterford, Lyme-Old Lyme, Groton, Ledyard and Stonington school districts as well as Westerly, Chariho, Providence and East Providence in Rhode Island in venues including the Providence Performing Arts Center. Salt Marsh Opera will be visiting over 60 schools offering preview workshops.
Salt Marsh Opera said it was thrilled to share it has been the recipient of a generous gift of $1500 for our Kids Love Opera! program from Dominion Energy. Dominion Energy awards grants in four focus areas: Human Needs, Environmental Stewardship, Education, and Supporting Cultural Endeavors to ensure a vibrant community.

"We are so grateful to Nancy Bulkeley, Sr. Community Affairs Representative at Dominion Energy, for her efforts in helping us to secure this gift," it said in its February newsletter. "The support we receive from organizations and businesses in our community allows us to continue to provide high-quality opera productions to young and old fans alike."
