How did you come up with the name?

It is important to have a simple name that everyone can remember. Stonington is where we are located. Natural Health Center is what we are. We help people to heal and be healthy with holistic medicine.

Why start a business in this town?

Many people in the area can benefit from our services, but even if you do not live in the area, we are located in a very convenient location on Rt 1, at exit 90 off of I95. Patients love the convenience of stopping in during their work breaks, between errands, or after work, and we have patients that come from a far distance as well because of our relaxing, heavenly atmosphere and incredibly gifted and talented healers.

What business are you in?

Healthcare.

What’s the most difficult challenge you’ve faced as a business owner?

The financial side of having a business can be challenging, and I’m sure that many other business owners and managers can relate to this. As a holistic health center, we also have the challenge of opening minds to holistic Medicine.

What’s been your proudest achievement since opening?

We love building strong relationships with our patients. We feel like we are one big happy family. This is one of our proudest achievements. As an acupuncturist, I love helping people with health concerns that they never knew that they could heal from or feel better. My favorite achievements have been helping people’s pain go away, lifting people’s moods, my specialty of helping people look and be younger with the acupuncture facelifts, and my other specialty of women’s health and helping with fertility so people can have babies. I love helping people to be happy and healthy. I especially love giving people hope!

How does your business give back to the community?

Lots of ways. We help people be happier and healthier, and we enjoy donating gift certificates to lots of fundraisers in the community.
