Sons of American Revolution to Mark Anniversary of Battle of Groton Heights
The events are free to the public.

The CT Society of the Sons of the American Revolution will mark the 232nd anniversary of the battle of Groton Heights at Fort Trumbull State Park and Fort Griswold Battlefield State Park on Sunday, Sept 1, according to a press release.
"The day will begin 9 a.m with an optional tour of Fort Trumbull State Park and Visitor Center (normal admittance fees apply). The first wreath laying ceremony and musket salute will take place Fort Trumbull at 11 a.m.Â
CT SAR Compatriot and Park Supervisor Jonathan Lincoln will give a walking tour of the fort at Fort Griswold Battlefield State Park Battle Monument and Museum at 2 p.m. Another wreath-laying and musket salute will take place at Thames River Landing in the park 3:30 p.m."
