Stonington Borough Employee Dies In Boating Incident: Report

STONINGTON, CT — Stonington Borough highway department employee Roger Collelo drowned in an apparent boating incident Sunday morning, according to The Day. Collelo was part of a two-person highway crew that has worked in the borough for more than 20 years.

Stonington Borough Warden Jeffrey Callahan told The Day he received a call Sunday morning that Collelo had been brought to shore following an accident at Sandy Point.

Stonington emergency services were dispatched at 11:05 a.m. for a reported medical incident that had occurred on the island between Stonington and Westerly, Rhode Island.
