Stonington Coronavirus: Local Man Tells Of Parents' Struggle

A local man whose parents were both hospitalized by COVID-19 told his story.

STONINGTON, CT — A local man discussed what it's like for his both of his parents to have been hospitalized by the COVID-19 virus in an NBC CT interivew. Michael Evering said the ordeal started when his mother, 69, who was already recovering from leukemia, came down with a fever one night in March.

His father then contracted the virus and both parents went to the hospital where they were put on ventilators. Evering's father has since begun recovery, but his mother remains critically ill, NBC CT reported.
