STONIGNTON, CT — With a massive snow storm heading toward the state, the town of Stonington is reminding drivers about the local snow ordinance.

Vehicles must be removed from roadways when there is more than 2 inches of snow so that plowing can occur. Vehicles that are not removed will be ticketed and/or towed.

For residents in Stonington Borough, when there is more than 2 inches of snow, Water Street must be clear of vehicles and vehicles on Main Street and Elm Street must be parked on the even side of the street on even days and odd side of the street on odd days.
