Stonington Schools Fired Coach For 'Inappropriate' Comments
The school system fired a coach in 2019 for his comments to female students, according to a report.

STONINGTON, CT — The school system terminated a high school coach in December 2019 for sending "inappropriate" messages via Snapchat to two female students, The New London Day reported.
The information came out as part of a report from the Office of the Child Advocate, which was critical of school officials for their handling of sexual harassment allegations against former teacher Timothy Chokas.
The Office of the Child Advocate was investigating the school system's handling of another incident when allegations about a male coach making inappropriate comments to two girls were made. The coach was not named in the report.
