Stonington In Top 10 of Latest Field Hockey Coaches Poll
The Bears have more than quadrupled the scoring output of their opponents in compiling a 12-1-1 record.

STONINGTON, CT — One of the most dominating regular season records in Connecticut field hockey history led to two-time defending Class L champion Staples High School being named first on all eight ballots in the most recent weekly coaches poll.
The Wreckers concluded the schedule with a 16-0 record, outscoring opponents by a whopping 94-5 margin, to earn the top nod for the fourth straight week. Cheshire, which also finished 16-0 with a 63-1 scoring differential, maintained its spot in second position, while Granby moved up two places into third.
Stonington High School, which has outscored opponents 59-12 this season, placed 10th in the most recent balloting.
