Super Bowl recipe share, courtesy of The IRONS Restaurant & Bar

Are you ready for the Big Game this weekend? If you’re hosting a Super Bowl party, your friends at The IRONS Restaurant & Bar have a winning recipe that will score a touchdown with your guests: Jameson IPA Whiskey Pickleback Wings!

Here’s the recipe:

Fresh Raw Chicken Wings 12 pieces

Pickle Brine:

Jameson Caskmates IPA Whiskey 1 cup

White Wine Vinegar 3 cups

Water 2 cups

Garlic – smashed 4 cloves

Mustard Seeds ½ tsp

Whole Black Peppercorns 2 tsp

Kosher Salt 2 TBSP

Crushed Red Chili Flake ½ tsp

Pickleback Wing Sauce

Jameson Caskmates IPA Whiskey 1 cup

Honey 1 ½ cups

Brown Sugar 4 TBPS

Smoked Paprika 1 tsp

Granulated Garlic 1 tsp

Onion Powder 1 tsp

Light Chili Powder 1 tsp

Coriander 1 tsp

Salt 1 tsp

Ground Black Pepper 1 tsp

Pickle Brine:

Combine ingredients in a pot and bring to boil.

Boil for 3 minutes and remove for heat and let cool to room temperature

Place wings in a bowl and pour brine over wings making sure wings are completely covered with brine.

Cover bowl and let sit in refrigerator for 4-6 hours.

Pickleback Wing Sauce:

Combine all ingredients in a pot and bring to a boil.

Remove from heat and let cool completely

Wings:

Remove wings from brine.

Coat sheet pan with pan spray and spread out wings on pan.

Place in 400F oven for 25 minutes or until internal temperature is 165F

Remove wings from oven and place in a bowl and toss with just enough sauce to evenly coat the wings

Place wings back on pan and finish baking the wings for another 5 - 10 minutes at 400F to caramelize the sauce.

Remove wings from oven

Toss wings again with just enough sauce to evenly coat.

Place wings on platter and garnish with diced pickles
