Victim In Mystic Fatal Crash Identified: Police

The victim in a fatal two-car crash has been identified.

MYSTIC, CT — Police have identified a woman killed in a two-car Mystic crash Thursday afternoon. Michelle L. McMullen, 52, of 25 Broadway in Norwich, died in the wreck.

The other driver, Ryan Brown, 19, of 180 Breezy Knls. in Mystic, was transported to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries.

The crash occurred at 12:29 p.m. in the area of Coogan Boulevard and Jerry Browne Road.

Stonington Police Capt. Todd Olson told Patch that there was a collision between two vehicles traveling in opposite directions.

Olson said that the regional accident reconstruction team that includes Groton Town, Ledyard and Stonington police will determine what occurred.

The Old Mystic Fire Department, Mystic River Ambulance and L+M Ambulance companies responded.

Traffic in the area, home to Mystic Aquarium and Olde Mistick Village, was tied up for several hours.
