STONINGTON, CT — A woman was seriously injured in a crash on I-95 north in Stonington Monday night, according to state police. The wreck occurred at 8:37 p.m. about half a mile north of exit 90.

Police said that an initial investigation found that nn 18-year-old Rhode Island woman was driving in the center lane and collided with the rear of a tractor trailer. She was airlifted to Rhode Island Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The tractor-trailer driver was not injured.
