A 31-year-old woman from Rhode Island was arrested by Stonington Police twice in six hours.

In the early morning hours of Tuesday, May 24, police were contacted regarding a 31-year-old woman who was crying in the area of Old Mystic’s North Road.

According to The Day, Amanda J. Alix of Pawcatuck, R.I. reportedly had slurred speech and officers could smell alcohol on her.

Police conducted field sobriety tests and said Alix did not pass the tests. She was arrested on the following charges:

  • Failure to submit to fingerprinting
  • Littering
  • Breach of peace
  • DUI

After being released from police custody later that morning, police said she swore at dispatchers and allegedly made reference to setting fire to the station.

Those actions resulted in Alix being arrested for the second time in a six-hour period.
