Driver Killed In Collision With Tree In Suffield

SUFFIELD, CT — A car left the roadway and crashed into a tree on Hickory Street late Sunday night, killing the driver, according to police.

Around 10:57 p.m., emergency personnel were dispatched to a field in the area of 128 Hickory Street, and a subsequent call reported a vehicle had collided with a tree. Emergency responders located the vehicle, a 2004 Toyota Camry, and the driver was found to be severely injured outside the vehicle, Police Chief Richard Brown said.

The driver, identified as Peter Decasperis, 20, of Suffield, died at the scene from his injuries, Brown said.
