Jack Henrie Running for State Representative
Surpasses Fundraising Goal to Receive Citizens' Election Program Grant

Suffield, CT: In August, Jack Henrie, Democratic candidate for State Representative surpassed the required fundraising total to apply for the public financing grant from the state. His campaign’s application was recently approved by the State Elections Enforcement Commission, and he has received a grant through the Citizens' Election Program. In order to qualify, Jack needed to raise over $5,100 dollars from at least 150 residents of the district. Jack Henrie is running against Tami Zawistowski, of East Granby, in the 61st Assembly District, which includes the towns of Suffield, East Granby, and of northern Windsor.
Jack stated, “Our District needs a representative whose business experience will help create a strategic plan for Connecticut. I will promote growth and fiscal responsibility while ensuring that the people of our District and of Connecticut receive the services they deserve.”
“We started this campaign in the middle of July, and to qualify so quickly is a clear indication that people in our community are ready for change,” Jack said. “We are running a campaign based on the shared values of the people who live here. I strongly believe in growing our local economy by making it easier to run a business and create jobs. I believe in a future of Connecticut with improved infrastructure, education, and accessible and affordable health care. I believe in the 2nd Amendment and in common sense gun reform, like the recently enacted ban of bump stocks. I will bring these values to Hartford on behalf of the wonderful people of Suffield, East Granby and Windsor.”

"Jack is an innovative, intelligent, and diligent person who has the skills and the passion we need in our next State Representative for the 61st District,” Art Christian, a well-known Suffield resident, stated. “He is a problem solver with over 30 years of business experience who knows how to address the economic stagnation our state is facing. I am supporting Jack because I know he will be a true advocate for our towns, and will be a unifier instead of a ready participant in partisan politics.”
Jack Henrie is an MBA/CPA, entrepreneur and Suffield-based, small business owner, with 30+ years of business experience in the Connecticut. His love of this area brought him to live in Suffield over 30 years ago with his wife, two children, and his golden retriever. Over the course of Jack’s career, he has retained or added hundreds of jobs, primarily in Connecticut, while adding over $1 billion in stakeholder wealth (stakeholders are customers, employees, shareholders, the supply chain, and the community). Jack will use his extensive business experience to strengthen Connecticut’s economy.
