Malloy Wants to Cut Suffield State Aid by $900,000

Suffield's 2019 fiscal year state aid would be reduced from $11.6 million to $10,7 million under plan governor released on Monday.

SUFFIELD, CT - The bad news keeps coming for Connecticut municipalities as the state attempts to claw out from under its budget mess.

Under Gov. Dannel P. Malloy's revised, proposed adjustments to the fiscal year 2019 budget previously adopted by the legislature state municipal aid would be cut nearly $100 million - both in the education and non-education side.

For Suffield, it would be a 8 percent cut from the previously approved $11.6 million total - to $10.7 million.
