ADULT PROGRAMS

Energizing Summer Vinyasa Flow – (NEW Saturday morning program)

This new energizing Vinyasa yoga flow that will kick start your Saturday morning and inspire you to move through the rest of the weekend with intention and ease from the comfort of your own home. There will be a strong focus on proper alignment and linking movement to one’s breath to ultimately promote flexibility, increase mobility, build strength, balance and relieve stress. This flow will end with a sprinkle of core work and a final relaxation that will leave you ready to take on your day. This practice is a one- hour class and has been designed for all levels-from beginners to seasoned Yogis. Please wear comfortable clothes that allow for movement, wear a face mask when social distancing is not possible and bring a water bottle and exercise mat to the program. The program is recommended for participants age 14 and over. In the event of inclement weather, a decision will be made by 10:00 a.m. and participants will be contacted by the instructor. (Only severe rain/thunderstorms will cancel)

Saturday Summer Yoga Sampler (New)

Have you ever wanted to try Yoga and see what it is all about? This class is for you! Take some time for yourself and enjoy all of the benefits of Yoga in a fun and friendly environment. We will practice and enjoy a healthy, strengthening and de-stressing Vinyasa Yoga workout and start the weekend off right! Powerburn – Summer Shape Up! (New)

Get an incredible workout in this fun high intensity step class. Class is designed to help build lean muscle while burning tons of fat all while having a blast. It is a total body cardio and strength workout and is the perfect summer workout. Combining step, HIIT, and dumbbells, this ultimate thirty-minute workout will get and help keep you in shape. Come get your heart pumping and the calories burning with a personal trainer. Beginners to Advanced are welcome. Please wear comfortable clothes that allow for movement and wear and bring a facemask, water bottle and a Yoga Mat. We ask everyone to check their temperature before coming to class and if you have a temperature, over 100 please do not come to class. Please do not come to class if you are feeling ill or experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19.

Summer Tabata Bootcamp (Outdoor)

Get in shape and have fun in our Summer Tabata Outdoor Bootcamp. You will have a blast in this ultimate calorie burning high intensity class. Tabata is a form of HIIT (high-intensity interval training) that alternates between twenty seconds of intense bursts of work and ten seconds of rest in four minute rounds. This class will have you burning calories even after you leave class. All fitness levels are welcome. Please wear comfortable clothes that allow for movement and wear and bring a facemask, water bottle and a Yoga Mat. We ask everyone to check their temperature before coming to class and if you have a temperature, over 100 please do not come to class. Please do not come to class if you are feeling ill or experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19.

FAMILY & COMMUNITY PROGRAMS

Family and Friends Bowling Nights

Get your friends and family together for some real fun! This program offers great exercise and an enjoyable time.. Each week participants will bowl three games at Spare Time Lanes. You and your friends will have a blast while bowling. Shoe rental not included. Smalls snacks will be served on the last night of the program.

Dates: June 7, 14, 21, 28

Day: Thursday

Time: 6:30-8:30-p.m.

Location: Spare Time Lanes, Route 75, Windsor Locks

Ages: All ages

Fee: $60.00 (you must pre-register)

Ready to Run, Running Club (Mondays & Wednesdays)

Are you ready to run? Come join certified coaches and trainers for a fun training program. Yes, running can be fun. All levels of runners are welcome. This program is the perfect way to train for the upcoming Suffield Parks and Recreation 5K Run/Walk and 10K Road Race to be held on Saturday, September 11 and for other local races. This new running group will also get you in overall great shape and help you make new running friends. Led by an experienced runner and coach, each session will start with a warm up, followed by the workout and ending with a cool down and stretches. The running workouts will be based on the levels of the runners. The participants will be coached during the session as well as given tools to continue the training on their own. You will gain the maximum and optimal benefits of the program by signing up for the two nights a week program. Please wear proper running sneakers and bring water.

Instructor: Sarah Supino, Owner of Unique Fitness, Suffield

Dates: July 12, 14, 19, 21, 26, 28, August 2, 4, 9, 11 and back up bad weather days August 16, 18 if needed

Days: Monday and Wednesday

Fee: $70.00 ($5.00 discount for each additional family member that registers after the first enrollment)

Inclusive Programming and Bowling Buddies Group

These programs foster friendships, socialization, promote community involvement and independence. The group enjoys educational presentations, fitness activities, crafting classes, games and events that are inclusive. Many fun outings throughout the year are held. The programs are geared for junior high school students through adult. Volunteers are always welcome. Currently, there is a Zoom program running each week with games, trivia and bingo nights for the group during the COVID-19 pandemic.
